At Deftpower we’re looking for a UX/UI designer to join our team.
This is Deftpower
Imagine a future where you can earn 500€ per year just by charging your car. Now imagine a job where you helped make this happen. Our Deftpower team has big ideas for improving electric car charging and draws on more than a decade’s worth of experience in the EV charging business in realising them. In fact, we have just secured a 2.5m euro funding from the EU EIC Accelerator, a prestige program for promising energy startups.
With a team of 40 we are rapidly building Europe´s most advanced platform, recalibrating electric vehicle drivers, their cars, charging points and the grid in a sustainable eco-system. One in which everything is integrated, and anyone can join. We believe that this market needs to grow quickly, and that with the right team – our clients and EV drivers can be happier, businesses more profitable, and society cleaner.
Because relevant individuals and companies believe in us, we have the opportunity to grow rapidly over the next 2 years. As a result, we’re on the lookout for new, geeky, funny, and brilliant team members to join us!
To help us in our mission we are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join us in our office in Arnhem.
What you’ll be doing
Your work consists of co-developing a SaaS solution for the EV market. You get the chance to add your own input to the product and you will work with the latest (cloud-based) techniques. You help the teams to bring the best, design-thinking-based solutions, to the market.
You will work on both the user interface design, guiding our users through the product as smoothly as possible, as well as on the actual visual design; branding the product as optimally as possible, while keeping in mind the wishes of our white label clients.
Stack
The Deftpower platform has two frontends; a driver app, that is created in React Native and a web portal that has been developed in Angular. The portal is mainly being used by our clients to manage their drivers, but is also accessible for EV-drivers directly. We use Figma for our designs.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate that has experience with developing user interface designs in Figma, likes to become part of an ambitious development team in a startup.
Experience with Figma is a must.
At least 3 years’ experience as UX/UI designer.
Used to working with Scrum in teams is a pre. If you are familiar with working Azure Devops to guide that process, that is an additional pre.
You are used to work with Design Systems.
You know how to best navigate users through processes as smoothly as possible.
You are eager to collect input from users to find out what the painpoints in the product are that we can improve.
You pay attention to small details that optimize the user experience.
You are not afraid of working on multiple topics and even multiple teams, at the same time.
You are enthusiastic and have perseverance; together with your team you work towards a great software product.
We value a high level of integrity, motivation, transparency and curiosity.
This is not a fully remote opening; we are flexible in working days, but prefer at least 2 days a week of interaction with the team in the office.
Benefits
Working at Deftpower is both rewarding and challenging. There are many moving parts, partners, suppliers, clients, neighbors, and we are a young company that is still learning. We tend to think we are the smartest kid in the class but make mistakes daily. And have a lot of fun doing so.
We want you to be happy and bring positive energy to join us in our mission. That’s why we’ve introduced quarterly D-Days, where all the fantastic team members from Arnhem and Berlin come together to have a good time. But that’s not the only thing we offer for your happiness:
1. Competitive salaries ranging between €4000 and €6800.
2. Work on a new product using modern techniques, with modern tools and platforms.
3. Working with fun colleagues in a scrum team on a brand-new product
4. For us to trust in you and in your work
5. Flexibility; determine your working hours yourself, in consultation.
6. A remarkable HQ located in the heart of the energy transition at Connectr Shared Office in Arnhem.
