General Description:

The Sub Project Lead Auxiliary Systems is managing the execution phase of building a 2GW platform and is responsible for ensuring the technical design, quality and schedule for Auxiliary installation and construction phase. You are taking over full responsibility for the overall topic within the dedicated project and ensures that the quality (incl. documentation, equipment, process robustness, etc.) is meeting all requirements (incl. contract, technical standard and best practice). You’re also responsible to ensure decision making with respect to technical questions and provides all relevant information required by the Project Lead Construction Technical Engineering. The Sub Project Lead will be supported by a team of inspectors competent in your discipline. This role will be located at a construction site/ship yard, in Singapore.

Your will report (hierarchically and functionally) to the Lead Execution Manager and (operationally) to the Construction Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordination activities with internal and external technical specialists;
  • Monitoring interface processing between sub project leads, internal and external technical specialists and other stakeholders;
  • Responsible for managing progress and quality control;
  • Preparation and evaluation (in alignment with all relevant departments) of decision proposals for technical questions and non-performance reports.
  • Support regarding procurement;
  • Responsible for all technical project management related activities and coordination of technical specialists regarding all construction activities within the assigned scope;
  • Support of Project Management with regards to risk and contract management;
  • Monitoring of the contractor with respect to the follow up of SHE regulations;
  • Coordination of directly assigned contractors (incl. framework contracts for technical support) as well as internal stakeholders (e.g. asset management);
  • Support for development of WBS for project specific demands;
  • Steering of work package fulfillment of technical specialists (escalation to construction manager, in case of needed support or underperformance);
  • Responsible for review of technical documentation including, progress and quality control;
  • Preparation of status and deviation reports;
  • Ensuring functional readiness of all resources, components and systems in the field of responsibility;
  • Preparation of handover of the assigned technical systems;
  • Responsible for the collection and processing of lessons learned issues;
  • Support of the further development of technical standards as well as project hand over standards;
  • Reporting to Lead Execution Manager and Functional Construction Manager;
  • Asset quality and production-site supervision through client.

Particularly:

  • Coordination/Execution Quality inspection during production;
  • Coordination/Witness of Factory acceptance/ Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs);
  • During System Integration: Coordination of System Performance Tests.

Your profile and background

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electro-technical or mechanical engineering or comparable;
  • Advanced professional experience of mechanical engineering;
  • Relevant professional experience in technical project management, min. 5 years;
  • Good verbal and written expressiveness;
  • Fluent written and spoken business English;
  • Confident handling of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Structured working methods;
  • High level of mobility and assertiveness;
  • Contact and team capability, independent and self-initiative;
  • Driver’s license;
  • Ability to work on- and offshore (DGMM).

This will be our challenge

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

Additional information

  • The weekly working time is 44 hours
  • Job grade 9 according TenneT TSO CAO
  • Type of contract is temporary for 12 months and a consecutive contract will be indefinite
  • First 3-6 months will be bases in Arnhem, The Netherlands before moving to Singapore or Batam on a residential basis
