We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Buyer (m/f/x) to join our Avantor Fluid Handling team. Known for our single-use Biopharma products, this segment is a priority for our rapidly expanding group. This opportunity allows you to grow with our company, taking on responsibilities that involve daily purchase order management and solving complex problems with innovation and ingenuity. The Hours: This is a full-time position (40h), from Monday to Friday. We offer flexible starting hours (between 7:30 and 9:00). The Team: You’ll be working in a close team with 2 other colleagues as well daily communication with our quality department, planner & schedular. Collaboration, Innovation and Teamspirit are the pillars of this team.How you will grow & create an impact: Internal stakeholder management: Support Sales/Customer Service, Production, and Quality departments in resolving pricing and product issues. External stakeholder management: Nurture vendor relationships to ensure superb delivery performance and strong cost containment. Serve as a liaison between our company and suppliers, maintaining positive vendor relationships. Negotiate and settle with suppliers on issues such as damage claims, rejections, and over shipments. Execute purchase orders as to meet replenishment plans and customer demand variations. Optimize the procurement process in a high-growth environment, seeking opportunities to streamline and improve. Take ownership of vendor and part maintenance, including creation, pricing, and accuracy of information in the ERP system. Analyze historical demand patterns and commercial inputs to generate accurate demand forecasts. Manage inventory levels to ensure days of supply goals are met and actively reduce slow, excess, and obsolete inventory. Ability to coach junior buyer colleagues What we are looking for: Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business or equivalent/applicable experience. Experience: 3-5+ years working in a procurement position. Required skills: ERP systems knowledge, Exact is a plus. Full Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. Fluent in English with a strong base in Dutch. Prefered skills: APICS/CPIM and/or NEVI certification. Familiarity of GMP, ISO, or FDA environment. Experience working within an international environment. Growth mindset.
