Your contribution to TenneT

In your role as an Operating Engineer – Instrumentation, you actively develop the instrumentation concepts and processes together with your colleagues and the Grid Connection Managers to prepare for the operational phase of the 2GW Grid Connection Systems in the coming years. Upon completion of the commissioning and handover you will follow the facilities into operation and take part in the safe, efficient and effective management of operations and maintenance of a (cluster of) Grid Connection System(s).

  • In preparation for the operational phase, you ensure that operational requirements are taken into account and safeguard that existing maintenance strategies can be applied or adapted as required to ensure the long-term availability and technical integrity of the facilities.
  • You understand the value of asset data and documentation to operations, so you ensure that it is maintained in the right systems to enable safe and efficient maintenance.
  • You provide ideas for the development of new standardization options, quality improvements or process optimizations. Furthermore, you are capturing and reviewing lessons learned and actively contribute to ensure continuous improvement of our Operational Readiness Framework.

  • Your profile and background

    We are looking for a new collogue who;

  • are an intrinsically motivated personality who appreciates working in a dynamic, diverse and international team. As a fast learning team player, you contribute to an exceptional team cohesion and demonstrate strong coordination and planning skills. 
  • have a degree in Electronics and Instrument engineering or Electrical engineering. Alternatively, 
  • have a comparable educational qualification in the fields of Instrumentation & Control or Industrial Automation and relevant professional experience, preferably in the field of offshore operations & maintenance (Oil & Gas or renewables). 
  • Likeleyhave proven experience with field instruments like pressure, flow, level and temperature transmitters, analyzers and valves and able to understand control loop checks, calibrations and protocols. Ideally we would be looking for 3-5 years of working experience.
  •  have good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and/ or English.
  • As this position involves working in an offshore environment, medical suitability for potential offshore assignments as well as fitness for working at heights is required
