Data Scientist
We are looking for a couple of Dutch speaking Data Scientist -Digital and Flex Development position. This will be a contract position that is based in Anrhem/Amersfoort/Groningen/ Hybrid.

The National Energy Dashboard helps parties to make smarter choices with data and insights when it comes to energy. The dashboard is the result of the growing demand for accessible, up-to-date energy data from the market, society and government. This data is essential in the transition to a sustainable, supply-driven energy system.
As a Data Scientist, you are responsible for analyzing large energy datasets to identify patterns, trends and correlations. You develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to predict energy consumption and energy generation, optimize energy systems and support our energy transition goals. Together with the IT provider(s) you work on the implementation of data pipelines and ensure efficient data processing. You translate complex data insights into accessible visualizations and reports in collaboration with the marketing and communication specialists.
Main tasks:
- Analyze large energy datasets and identify patterns, trends and correlations;
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms;
- Collaborate with the IT partner for the implementation of data pipelines;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and energy analytics;
- Collaborate with marketing and communication specialists to translate complex data insights into accessible visualizations or reports.
Skills and personal characteristics:
- Master or Ph.D. in data science, statistics or computer science and at least 5 years of work experience as a data scientist in a relevant field;
- Experience with data analytics, statistics and machine learning, with a focus on data-driven solutions;
- Extensive programming experience, preferably with Python, PowerBI for data manipulation and visualization;
- Familiarity with energy data and related challenges;
- Ability to translate complex data insights into concrete recommendations;
- Willingness to work and travel flexibly. Hybrid working is done both from home and from the Groningen and Arnhem locations. We also meet regularly centrally in the country.
