Graduated education within the inland shipping industry, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a row in a position as First Captain on an inland river cruise vessel
Knowledge of and experience navigating the Danube is considered a strong advantage.
Owner of all needed certificates and licenses for the operation responsible, all other non-operational licenses are an advantage, but not a requirement
Excellent management, organization and communication skills
Guest-focused, stress-resistant, calm under pressure, team player and with professional appearance
Open-minded and flexible with high social and inter-cultural competencies
Excellent team player and a flexible attitude
Excellent English skills (written & verbal), other languages (French, German, Dutch) are an advantage, but not a requirement
Must work independently; have advanced computer skills to create presentations, scripts and projects
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel extensively (up to 80%) within the target area.
