As Accounting Manager, you steer a regional accounting function within UL Solutions’ EMEA team to ensure accurate statutory reporting, robust controls, and timely close processes. You lead a multi-entity team, drive US GAAP reporting, audits, and compliance, while advancing process improvements. This role sits at the heart of financial integrity and supports strategic acquisitions and complex global accounting needs. You’ll collaborate across regions to sustain a safe, sustainable, and compliant business.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Oversee statutory and US GAAP general ledger accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for month-, quarter-, and year-end closes
- Review balance sheet and income statement analyses and reconciliations
- Ensure internal controls compliance, SOX requirements, and company policies
- Support audits and implement audit recommendations
- Coordinate statutory financial statements preparation for multiple entities and countries
- Coordinate statutory audits and filings such as VAT
- Drive continuous improvement by standardizing and automating processes
- Lead, develop, and coach accounting team; conduct performance reviews
- Assist with regional acquisitions and merger activities and ad hoc projects
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant)
- At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience including team leadership
- Strong knowledge of statutory financial statements and US GAAP
- Experience with large, complex ERP systems; Oracle preferred
- Ability to lead process changes and system improvements
- Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance
- Experience with US-based multinational companies and international reporting
- Excellent English communications; Dutch preferred
